Description:
While assigned to the Home Creek Fire on the Bureau of Land Management’s Burns District, a Redmond Smokejumper suffered a strong reaction to a probable insect bite or bee sting to the face. After being assessed by U.S. Forest Service EMTs, a medivac was ordered. An agency helicopter flew the firefighter to a helispot where a he was picked up and driven to a local hospital. He was treated for an allergic reaction and released that day.
