Description:
On April 11, 2024, fire personnel from the US Fish and Wildlife Service conducted a prescribed bun on the Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge in northwestern Colorado. While prescribed fire operations were ongoing, a UTV carrying the Prescribed Fire Burn Boss Type 2 (trainee) and the Agency Administrator impacted a culvert pipe and ditch and rolled over. The Agency Administrator was injured and transported to the hospital.
