Description:
While engaged in mulching vegetation with a track loader with a mulching head (also called a masticator), a Forest Service employee in Illinois noticed smoke coming from the machine. The source of smoke was revealed to be in the area of the rear engine compartment. Three fire extinguishers were unable to put out the fire. The fire was eventually extinguished by the local fire department.
