Description:
On July 9, 1932, Gay Lewis, 30, a firefighter living in Klamath Falls, Oregon, was struck by a falling tree on the Jenny Creek Fire, located west of Klamath Falls. Lewis was taken to Klamath Falls for treatment, but passed away four days later from unspecified injuries. This fire was alternately reported as being on Green Springs Mountain, closer to Ashland.
