Description:
On August 13, 1919, four firefighters were struck by a falling tree as they worked to suppress the Jordan Creek Fire on the Coeur d'Alene National Forest in Idaho. All four men were injured, though none critically. Three of the injured were taken to Missoula by train. The fourth firefighter remained at the fire camp, being too injured to immediately travel.
