Description:
A non-fire employee was taking the work capacity test and began to feel dizzy and fell, injuring their knee and ankle. Test administrators took the employee inside hoping some cooler air and hydration may help. However, conditions worsened with employee experiencing shortness of breath with an elevated heart rate. An ambulance was called, and the employee was transported to the hospital and kept overnight. Eventually, rhabdomyolysis was the diagnosis.
