Description:
This is a detailed analysis of the Laguna Fire which occurred on September 26, 1970 on the Descanso District of the Cleveland National Forest. The report encompasses the events prior to the fire, suppression action on the fire, costs, major control and organizational problems. It is hoped that this Fire Analysis will improve future fire control management and to train personnel in practical management of the overall fire control job--with specific emphasis on planning and the performance required to prevent fires from becoming large.
