Description:
A member of an Interagency Hotshot Crew (IHC) slipped and fell a very long distance down a slope, perhaps in the range of 200 feet, while assigned to the Lake Fire, Los Padres National Forest, California. The firefighter was flown via helicopter medevac to the hospital. Diagnostics, including CAT scans didn’t reveal any significant injuries. That said, the firefighter did receive numerous bumps and bruises including a possible knee injury. The crewmember was released the same day.
