Description:
A hand crewmember on the Lake Fire, Los Padres National Forest, California, received a chemical burn from gas that poured out of a faulty Dolmar, which was missing an O-ring on the fuel lid. The burn injury was reported as a 2nd degree burn. The injury was magnified by poison oak on same part of body gasoline contacted. The firefighter was flown to Grossman Burn Center in Bakersfield, CA. Treated and released back to full duty.
