  • Description:

    The Lake Mountain Fire was ignited on June 29, 1985, and was transitioned to an incident management team the following day. On July 2, the fire doubled in size to approximately 1500 acres. On July 4, indicators of another major fire behavior day were observed, and at 1400 fire intensity increased. At 1700, crews moved to pre-identified safe areas. At 1730, four crews and two fallers deployed fire shelters in two locations. The shelter deployment lasted 90 minutes to 2 hours. No injurues were reported.
