    A firefighter on the Lava Fire on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest in California fell and presented with wrist, hip, and rib pain. Initial medical size-up categorized the patient as “Yellow” (“Serious Injury or Illness”) on the Medical Incident Report (MIR). Based on the size-up and location, the patient was short hauled to a ground ambulance and transported to the hospital.
