Description:
On June 27, 1974, a Convair P4Y-2 air tanker impacted terrain during a retrdant drop run on the Lindsay Fire on Mt Graham, near Safford, Arizona. The NTSB summary report states that misjudging terrain clearance was the cause of the accident on the Coronado National Forest. Little further information is readily available.
