Description:
At approximately 1800 on Saturday, August 24, 2013, crewmembers working on BDF Engine 52 were forced to take refuge in a pre-identified Safety Zone. The firefighters were unexpectedly caught in a fire behavior related situation. They used their shelters to protect themselves against the radiant heat and smoke. No injuries were sustained.
