  • Description:

    A Type 2 Initial Attack (IA) crew was working on the Lookout Fire on the Willamette National Forest, Oregon, the afternoon of September 12. They were constructing indirect handline to cut off a road switchback. During snag felling, a swamper assisting the faller during the saw operation was struck by the hazard tree being felled. The swamper was struck across the back, dislocating their hip.
