Lynx Creek Fire Hit by Tree Fatality 1950

Edward Archer was killed by a falling tree while fighting the Lynx Creek Fire on the Bridger National Forest, Wyoming. Archer was a sawmill operator in the area, and came to assist with fire suppression on the 60 acre fire. While working with a hand crew, a large piece of a tree fell and hit Archer. Archer was transported to the road by a stretcher and then driven to the hospital in Afton, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
