Description:
On Sunday, September 19, 1971, at approximately 1045 hours, Vista Grande Tanker Crew Foreman, Robert M. Miller was fatally burned while trying to escape a flareup on the Mack #2 Fire. This fire occurred in the California Division of Forestry/U.S. Forest Service Mutual Aid Area on Indian Reservation land adjacent to the north boundary of the San Jacinto Ranger District, San Bernardino National Forest.
