Madison Township Kunkle FD Fatality 2018

Assistant Chief Rodney D. Baker, Jr., responded to a grass fire, becoming first on scene and the commanding officer for the incident. The following day, while attending a family event, Chief Baker became ill and collapsed. Family members trained in CPR immediately came to Chief Baker’s aid while first responders were called to the scene. Assistant Chief Baker was transported to the hospital where, despite all efforts, he later passed away from a reported cardiac event.
