  • Description:

    A Truckee Hotshot Crewmember stepped into an ash pit on the Maria Fire. The Firefighter was assisted by U.S. Forest Service EMTs to an ambulance that took the Firefighter to a hospital. The Firefighter was then transferred to a burn center via ambulance. The Firefighter was diagnosed with second degree burns to the calf, treated and released with orders to return to the burn center in three days.
