Description:
Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest: A Forest Service contract firefighter mopping-up on a steep slope was hit by a rolling log that rolled over his chest. The patient was stabilized by Forest Service EMTs, ambulanced to a landing zone, and then taken by air ambulance to a hospital in Wenatchee where the patient was diagnosed with a collapsed lung. The patient will be hospitalized for a few days until the lung re-inflates.
