  • Incident Information:

  • Location:

    Oregon
  • Date:

    08/12/2018
  • Incident Type:

    Water Tender Incident
  • Description:

The Water Tender had just completed filling porta tanks and was spraying the road while traveling out to refill. It was traveling north on Road 6640 when it left the road on the downhill side and rolled over against a tree approximately 20 feet off the road. The vehicle rested on the driver’s side and was stopped from rolling multiple times by the downhill tree. The driver self-exited from the vehicle and walked approximately 100 yards to Drop Point 132 where a Medical Unit was staged for the day. Medical initiated patient care. The patient’s chief complaints were lower back pain, lower leg, and multiple abrasions—but he was conscious and alert. Due to these injuries, the patient was transported to a hospital and released later that night.
