Description:
Four men were hit by rocks in two incidents on the Milk Ranch Fire, Plumas National Forest, California. The Milk Ranch Fire burned in the extremely steep canyon of the North Fork of the Feather River, driven by strong winds, covering an area of around 22,000 acres. Two separate incidents injured a group of three men and one man, respectively. In the first incident, John Frye suffered a broken collarbone, Elmer Gray suffered a broken shoulder blade, and Lloyd McClure a laceration to the head. All were employees of Setzer Forest Products sawmill in Greenville. In the second incident, Camille Miller, a regular employee of the US Forest Service, was hospitalized with scalp lacerations from a falling rock.
