Miner Camp Peak Fire Smokejumper Injuries 2018

    Miners Camp Peak Fire, Fishlake National Fire: Three Smokejumpers were injured upon landing. All three were treated by Forest Service EMTs and transported by air ambulance to a hospital in Provo, Utah. The first injury was a hand with two broken bones. That smokejumper was treated and released that night. The second injury was a separated shoulder. That smokejumper was also treated and released that night, with additional surgery anticipated. The third smokejumper injury was a separated wrist with torn tendons. Surgery was scheduled for the following morning.
