  • Description:

    While traveling through the Moose Fire area from a different local fire, a Forest Service employee pulled over to the side of the road to use his mobile phone. Before coming to a complete stop, the driver reached for the phone, and the vehicle tires contacted the soft shoulder, making it collapse and cause the vehicle to roll off the road and down the hillside. The driver was not seriously injured.
