Description:
On the Mosquito Fire on the Tahoe National Forest, California, a firefighter sustained a burn injury to the leg after stepping into a stump hole while performing mop-up operations. Line medics provided initial care and determined the injury was a 1-2% second degree burn below the area behind the right knee. The crew member was transported via ambulance to a hospital for further evaluation and treatment and was released later that day.
