  • Description:

    The Oconee National Forest in Georgia conducted the Compartment 111 Prescribed Fire (Rx) in Monticello, Georgia on February 16, 2023. A module in a UTV noted a hazard tree burned next to the road and attempted to flag the hazard. While the UTV was parked next to the tree, it broke and fell. All crewmembers escaped, but the tree fell across the roof of the UTV, severely damaging it.
