Orleans Complex Crew Vehicle Rollover 2006

On August 16, 2006 at 1944 hours, while returning to camp from line assignment at the end of shift on the Orleans Complex on the Six Rivers National Forest, the American River Handcrew was traveling on a steep, narrow, windy, native surface road that had been recently watered for dust abatement. The vehicle began to slide, slid into the cut bank, hit a stump and turned over onto its left side, coming to rest on the roadbed. The crew evacuated the vehicle safely. Two crewmembers were injured.
