Osceola National Forest Prescribed Fire Prep Medical Dehydration 2023

    While clearing red cockaded woodpecker trees for prescribed fire on the Osceola National Forest, Florida, a crewmember from a prescribed fire module passed out from what appeared to be dehydration. The crew returned the crewmember to the hotel where the crewmember passed out again. The crewmember was then transported to the hospital, diagnosed with dehydration, treated, and released.
