    Wilho Aronen, a CCC firefighter, was killed when he was hit by a rolling rock on the Parker Creek Fire, Kaniksu National Forest, Idaho. Aronen's crew was assigned to mop-up the fire when the rock rolled down the hill and hit him on head, fracturing his skull. He was killed instantly.
