Description:
On July 14, 2004, at approximately 1430 hours, there was a “close call” on the Pine Incident involving Cleveland National Forest Engine 27 with Strike Team 6632 C while assigned to the structure protection group. While engaged in attacking a spot fire, flames laid over the top of the engine for a very brief period, approximately 15 seconds.
