  • Description:

    On August 20th Big Cypress National Preserve Fire Personnel were conducting a prescribed fire in Raccoon point. At approximately 14:45 Fire Buggy 2 erupted in flames on the passenger side. Flames engulfed the decking and the passenger seat. The operator was able to grab his radio and get off the buggy moments before his seat and side of the buggy were completely on fire. The buggy was a complete loss and burned rapidly to the ground.
