    Mike Adams, a professional timber faller, was killed when he was hit by a tree on the Reynolds Fire on Twisp River Road on the Okanogan National Forest. Adams was working to fall hazard trees to assist with line construction on the fire when he was struck by a tree. He was medevacked to the hospital in Omak, where he was pronounced dead.
