  • Description:

    The Ridge Top Fire started on July 27, 2012 following thunderstorm activity across the Fort Hall Indian Reservation. During suppression efforts on July 28, 2012, a BLM firefighter received serious but non-life threatening burn injuries while operating an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on dozer line adjacent to the active fire. The firefighter was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and subsequently referred to the University of Utah Hospital Burn Center in Salt Lake City. The firefighter was treated for first and second degree burns and released on July 29, 2012.
