Description:
On August 11, 2021, a member of a hand crew assigned to the River Complex on Northern California’s Klamath National Forest suffered a knee injury that required transportation to medical care. Due to the notoriously poor air quality and low visibility in the Klamath Mountains, it ultimately took the efforts of 40 people and two pack stock to coordinate and carry out a patient extraction by trail.
