    A Breckenridge IHC Crewmember was mapping the fire perimeter on the River Fire near Bakersfield, Calif. At one point, the Firefighter was side-hilling on a steep slope when the footing gave out. The Firefighter slid down and impacted the road—fracturing a fibula. The Firefighter was treated by U.S. Forest Service EMTs and then driven to a hospital in crew vehicles. The patient was treated and released.
