    At around 1500 on June 28, 1964, a Douglas B-26 air tanker operating as Tanker 13 crashed while in fire suppression operations near Roosevelt Lake, Arizona. The tanker was initiating its drop when it struck terrain and was destroyed, killing the pilot, Jim Moseley. Moseley was the owner/operator of Moseley Aviation based at Winslow, AZ for the fire season. One media report suggests that Moseley may have experienced a control problem with the aircraft and was attempting to bail out using a parachute. No other information about this theory of the crash is available.
