Sacramento Fire Fatality 2008

Officer Falconer was working on a fireline with the Globe Wildland Fire Crew while fighting the Sacramento Fire. Falconer complained of feeling dizzy and collapsed. Other officers and inmate firefighters responded immediately to provide emergency medical assistance. Sun City paramedics were summoned to the scene and initiated basic life support measures. Officer Falconer was transported to the Colorado River Medical Center in Needles, California for emergency medical treatment, where he was pronounced dead.
