  • Description:

    Salmon-Challis National Forest: A U.S. Forest Service smokejumper jumped a fire on the Salmon-Challis. The flight resulted in the jumper going on the lee side of a ridge and a hard landing, resulting in a concussion. The jumper was assessed and then flown by agency helicopter to a local hospital. The patient was evaluated and released that evening to three days of light duty.
