Description:
While working in steep and rugged terrain on the San Antonio Fire, two members of a Type 1 Interagency Hotshot Crew were struck by a piece of a tree. Line EMTs initiated care of the injured firefighters. Adjacent hotshot crew members transported the patients up the steep terrain to a helispot. Agency helicopters transported the patients to a local hospital. Both patients were released from the hospital following treatment the next day.
