Description:
Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) crewmembers Bruce Allen, 17, and Oral LeRoy Bruner, 19, were killed when the U.S. Forest Service vehicle in which they were riding overturned in Harbison Canyon, San Diego County. It is possible that the men were traveling to a 30-acre fire that was burning in the Alpine Heights area on the Cleveland National Forest. No further information is readily available.
