Description:
District Fire Warden William Marxmiller of Santa Barbara County, California, was killed when his vehicle left the roadway while he was responding to a grass fire. Marxmiller, who supervised the county fire station in Goleta, was critically injured when his vehicle went down a 120-foot embankment off of Highway 101. He was taken to Santa Barbara Hospital where he passed away the following day.
