Description:
On September 7, 2010, Donald S. Lam, a Kentucky Division of Forestry Forest Ranger Technician engaged in fire suppression activities, was struck in the head by a snag that had fallen and rolled downhill over a small bluff, striking Lam in the head. He was knocked out and sustained a serious head injury, fractured hip, bruises, and a 2nd degree leg burn on his calves from the burning snag.
Lam, who had been in critical condition in the ICU since his injuries occurred, passed away on February 17.
