Description:
While engaged in fireline construction on the Sharrott Creek Fire, Bitterroot National Forest, Montana, a crewmember on a hand crew was on a road when a rock came down the hill striking him near his armpit sending him roughly 50ft down the hill below the road where he came in contact with a tree resulting in a concussion. Incident EMTs provided medical support on the fireline, and numerous vehicles, including several ambulances provided transport to the hospital. The crewmember was treated and released with instructions for follow-up appointment.
