Description:
A member of an Interagency Hotshot Crew (IHC) experienced an unknown medical emergency on the Shelly Fire, Klamath National Forest, California. The individual was unresponsive but breathing, with no visible trauma. A helicopter medevac was conducted. Upon arrival at the hospital, the crewmember was feeling much better, but was admitted in-patient overnight for observation. While the precise diagnosis was unclear, the crewmember was released on 7/14/24, but not allowed to return to full duty, pending additional diagnosis.
