Description:
While taking the "Arduous" Work Capacity Test, a firefighter collapsed. EMTs on scene began treating him immediately and transported him to a local hospital. Upon initial diagnosis, he had very high enzyme levels, leading them to believe he may have rhabdo. He spent several days in the local hospital before being transferred to the hospital in Rapid City for further tests and treatment, where again he was treated for rhabdo. Once released from the hospital in Rapid City he was put on light duty. Several weeks later, he suffered some effects from the rhabdo and collapsed again after standing from a seated position at lunch . . .
