Description:
On the South Obenchain Fire on the Bureau of Land Management’s Medford District, an Interagency
Hotshot Crew firefighter was limbing overhead with a chainsaw when it kicked-back. The saw’s
powerhead struck the left shoulder, knocking the firefighter down into a patch of poison oak and
dislocating the shoulder.
