Description:
While supporting holding operations on the Southfork Rx, Stanislaus National Forest in California, two 50’ x 50’ and multiple smaller spot fires ignited. Firefighters responded in heavy smoke with line construction and hose lays, and one firefighter suffered from smoke inhalation/carbon monoxide poisoning. An on-scene/assigned ambulance provided initial response and transport to the hospital. The firefighter remained in the hospital and was released on Monday, 6/19/23.
