  • Description:

    On February 24, 2004, at St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park in Florida, a prescribed fire was planned for burn units SSR 82 (136 acres) and SSR 85 (147 acres). During a burnover, three firefighters were injured. They were administered first aid on scene, including applying water to cool their burns. They were transported in a truck to the nearest paved road where the ambulance was located.
