    On July 26, 2004, a Call-When-Needed Type 3 Helicopter crashed while conducting a reconnaissance and mapping mission on the Straylor Fire in the California Department of Forestry's (CDF) Lassen-Modoc Unit, injuring the pilot and two CDF employees who were onboard.
