    On June 6th, 2012, the crew assigned to the Sunflower fire was in the process of felling hazard trees along Forest Road 201 within the fire. At approximately 1400 hours a sawyer was struck in the hardhat and right arm by a tree he was attempting to fall. An ambulance was immediately requested to the injured employee’s location and he was transported to a local medical facility for treatment. Supplemental treatment was sought to rule out head and neck injuries and the employee was released home late in the evening.
