Description:
A CAL FIRE Fire Engine (E1) was involved in a single vehicle rollover while responding to the Thompson Incident. The rollover occurred at 0727 hours on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. The engine was staffed with three CAL FIRE employees consisting of one Fire Apparatus Engineer and two Firefighters. E1 was traveling north on a narrow, two-lane paved county road approximately 19 feet in width. E1 left the east side of the roadway, rolled over, and came to rest upside down facing south. All three occupants suffered injuries: moderate injuries to one Firefighter and minor injuries to the Fire Apparatus Engineer and other Firefighter.
